Xyntek's ITX-LPS© is a servo driven Laser Pointing System that directs a bright laser spot to illuminate objects for pick and place applications. The ITX-LPS© can be remotely controlled from any PC on a standard Ethernet PC network. The ITX-LPS© has a Windows graphical user interface (GUI) which is easy to install, configure, and operate. Each ITX-LPS© laser head is enclosed in a rugged sealed enclosure with quick-disconnect electrical connectors.
In a typical installation, the ITX-LPS© is a component in a larger material management integrated system. Its purpose is to receive coordinates from another system and highlight the object at the coordinates. The integrated system will control which tray is in the picking area and manage the list of items to be picked. The purpose of the ITX-LPS© is to assist the operator to locate an object or position by highlighting it. This improves the speed and accuracy of the picking operation. |
